Kennedy, the sole female athletic trainer for the Windy City Warriors, hopes to protect her professional reputation and secure a new job after a difficult final season in Chicago. However, a wild night in Las Vegas with the team's shortstop, Isaiah Rhodes, leaves her with a fuzzy memory and a wedding ring. To protect her career from scandal, Isaiah devises a scheme to pretend their marriage was a planned elopement rather than a drunken mistake, forcing Kennedy into a temporary marriage with the charming athlete.
Isaiah, who has harbored a long-standing crush on the athletic trainer, views the accidental marriage as his ultimate chance. While they agree to maintain the ruse for just one baseball season, Isaiah intends to prove he is genuinely husband material and win over his reluctant wife.
